  • Here are some great unofficial posters and artwork for the modern Batman franchise. The ones I have chosen are all made in diferent styles. The top which almost looks proffessional which is a great design in a tradition poster design. The next three are more like art peices that look really rugged and keep a theme for all three of them. The bottom image of the Dark Knight Rises seems to invision a western movie look to it which works well suprisingly with the use of hot colours. The last image is another style, which is more of a symbol, it’s really simple but clever hinting that the Batman symbol is there.

  • 24 Unofficial Movie Posters That Are Better Than The Real Posters

This a article about movie posters and more specifically, fan made ones that these people claim are better than the real ones, now I have to agree some of these posters are brilliant and they are all done in so many different styles. This gives me hope and inspiration going into my own project.

  • These posters are probably the best of the modern trilogy. The main image used is the first image, the one with Batman. This one is great and it follows suit from the previous film with the symbol in the background. The one below that, with the heel breaking the symbol in half is really cool and also she leaves a kiss which the batman symbol can also be seen. The RISE poster is one I hadn’t seen before this research and I really like it, it’s bold and suits Bane perfectly. The strongest poster in my opinion is the last, Banes eyes are piercing and you can see a hint of the batman symbol between his eyes.

  • The posters used for The Dark Knight are all pretty great and all have their strengths. The image at the top is the most well used poster and also served as the front cover of the DVD, it’s a really nice contrast of colours and using the symbol in as the fire really burns out of the image. There were some other covers that involved the Joker a lot more, The images in a line of there are some of where the Joker has seen to have created them or altered them himself which is really cool and clever because he is like that. The bottom poster however I think is the best, it’s not ideal I don’t think commercially for this to have been the front cover of the DVD but this certainly is my favourite. I love the Brodovitch style image of the Joker, it gives him a mysterious look and then the text which seems to be written in blood is horrifying and really stands out, along with the big smile at the end.

  • These posters are not brilliant but are still decent, I don’t like the boring orange-brown colour going on. Which is why I believe that the black and white one is the best, but it’s got something to so with the movie, batman begins in the cave with all the  bats, that’s where the batman is born, so it means more in that respect.
